CD Tin

I have had this cd tin in my desk draw for about 2yr's not knowing what to do with it, as I was looking on splitcoaststampers the other day I came across a completed cd tin that had been covered in SU paper & stamps. Inspired by this tin I am doing one of my own, my tin is going to be filled with photo's of my family & the many face's they pull ( the silly photo's that never seem to get scraped because they are a one off or just to ugly). I have only got as far as covering the front & back of the tin, now just waiting on photo's to be ready & picked up. I will take photo's as I go & will keep uploading them. My sister is comming up from Melbourne to visit this week so I don't know if I will get back to my tin in the next couple of weeks, I think Michelle (my sister) wants to do Christmas cards while she is here.

window card

One of the demonstration's at Sydney's regional seminar was a window card. This little card was one I had to try, I finally got some time to sit down last night and have ago. The photo is not doing much for the colour & I had a shocker with the Happy stamp. I think I will have to do a few more before I am happy with the out come, but here is my first go hopefully more improved one's will come in the future.

re-vamped challenge card

I have re-vamped Mel's challenge card from last month to a birthday card. I have change the stamp 360 days a years to a birthday stamp from Circle of Friendship set and added stampin' glitter to give it a bit more. I just wanted to put it on because I can & all the other cards I have done lately are not some thing I would show.

6x6 Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking in 6x6 is something I have only done once before, I found it fast & fun to do. I had time today to do a couple of 6x6 pages in my SU! album. I have mixed feelings about my little pages from todays efforts, the page of Ethan & Richard is my favorite but Charlotte's I just couldn't get it right & lost the plot on it somewhere. There is no real technique in either of these pages just playing with new products.

All About Techique

I went to my fist Stampin' Up! event on the weekend in Sydney with the girls, the regional seminar. I had a great time & want to thank the girls one more time for taking me along with them. I feel inspired now & spent the day trying different technique's.I saw on a YouTube-Broadcast Yourself, a few months back this cracked glass embossing look. I didn't have my normal scrap day yesterday so I had the chance to try a few different things & this cracked, broken glass look was one that found it's way onto a card, I liked it that much. The More Mustard ink on attempt #1, is a colour I don't normally use & I thought what is the chance of it working the first time & it did, the cracked look worked perfectly. I think the best part of this card would be the tag on the bottom, I made it so I could use the More Mustard again.
